Frequently Asked Questions
Cellular Healing may be different from other work you've done, so questions are welcome. Here are some of the things people most often want to know before we begin.
-
Cellular Healing is a mind-body practice developed by Nina Frankel through more than fifty years of personal experience, study and clinical work.
The work explores patterns the body has learned through illness, pain, trauma, fear, loss and other significant experiences - and the possibility of experiencing something different.
-
We begin by talking briefly about what you've noticed and anything relevant that has happened since our last meeting. Nina then guides you into a deeply restful state while working with the goals you've established for the series.
You remain awake and aware throughout. You don't need to meditate, clear your mind or make anything happen.
-
You and Nina will agree upon the focus and goals for your series before you begin.
Your current circumstances and needs will always be taken into account, but each session isn't a different problem to solve. The sessions build upon one another and stay connected to what you've agreed to work toward.
-
The initial series takes place over approximately six weeks. You'll usually meet with Nina for your second session one week after the first, followed by two more sessions approximately two weeks apart.
Between sessions, you'll use a recording that allows you to continue working with the patterns you're addressing together.
-
Many people experience significant shifts during the initial four-session series, but Nina doesn't promise a particular result or timetable.
Part of the process is noticing what actually changes for you rather than deciding beforehand what should happen.
-
Maybe. We don't decide that in advance.
By the third session, you and Nina will usually have a much clearer sense of how you're responding and whether additional work would be useful. Any decision to continue beyond the initial series is made together.
-
The initial four-session Cellular Healing series is $1,800 and includes your private sessions with Nina and the recording you'll use between sessions.
Before making that commitment, you'll meet with Nina for a free twenty-minute conversation to determine whether the work is a good fit.
-
No.
You don't need to recount every detail of a difficult experience or know exactly where a pattern began. Nina needs enough information to understand what you're experiencing and what you want to work toward. The focus is on what is happening now and what you would like to be different.
-
No. Cellular Healing is a complementary mind-body practice. It does not diagnose or treat medical or mental health conditions and isn't a replacement for medical care, psychotherapy, medications or other appropriate treatment.
It can be used alongside the care you're already receiving.
-
Absolutely not.
Nina has lived with serious autoimmune disease for more than fifty years. Cellular Healing isn't based on the idea that illness is caused by your attitude, emotions or failure to think positively.
The work is interested in how your body and mind have responded to what you've lived through - not in assigning blame for why something happened.
-
That's what the initial conversation is for.
You don't need to figure it out before you contact Nina. Tell her what's happening, what you would like to be different and what you're wondering about. She'll ask questions too, and together you'll decide whether Cellular Medicine makes sense for you.
